Visa’s Internship Program provides an immersive, 12-week journey where you’ll work on impactful projects that drive Visa’s mission forward. Led by Visa’s Chief Data Officer, the Global Data Office coordinates high-impact, complex, company-wide projects related to data business strategy, critical investments, policy development, and marketplace execution. Working closely with Visa’s Chief Privacy Officer, the Technology organization, the wider data community, and the full set of Visa’s global lines of business, the Global Data Office is evolving Visa’s data-related work with momentum and enthusiasm. Driven by its commitment to trusted use of data, Visa is seeking enthusiastic leaders who are change-agents and passionate about the future of data around the world.
The GDO Product Management teams are looking for Interns to support with requirements and product ownership for different Data Products and Data Platforms. As an intern, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product leadership, technology, product operations, regional and global solutions, business intelligence, privacy, and governance, to enable high-quality data products and data platforms for multiple internal and external cases. You will have the opportunity to help shape the future of product and platform capabilities and drive innovation at Visa.
Potential high impact projects and responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to define and refine product requirements, including coordination of workshops with technology teams to iterate on product requirements, feasibility, and project planning.
- Conduct user research and stakeholder interviews to understand pain points, user personas, and user journey mapping.
- Development of product prototypes, demos, and wireframes to showcase the art of the possible.
- Analyze usage data and feedback to inform feature prioritization and roadmap planning.
- Project management of important platform modernization from on-premise datasets to Visa’s hybrid cloud, ensuring they match the enterprise data model and are ready for business and analytics use.
- Assist in improving data quality and discoverability by adding data checks, and making sure metadata and data lineage are correctly recorded.
- Support the creation of governance and usage processes that track dataset access, ensure security, and promote efficient data use across the company.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Product Design, Business Administration, Economics, or related field, graduating December 2026 – August 2027
- Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Curious mindset with an interest in solving problems alongside strong analytical and quantitative skills, driving insight from data analysis.
- Proactive attitude with experience of being a self-starter, a willingness to learn and to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate.
- Basic understanding of data management concepts such as data quality, metadata, and data lineage.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) or interest in learning cloud-based data tools.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Strong interest in product management, data platforms, and conversational AI.
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy)
- Familiarity with UX design tools (e.g. Invision, Figma, Balsamiq).
- Familiarity with project management tools such as MS project.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and product teams.
