Intuit's RPM Program: Is It Still Running, and When Does It Open?

Intuit's rotational product manager program went quiet for a while, and candidates still ask whether it exists. Here is what is verifiable, including the September opening Intuit itself announced.

Overview

Intuit did something almost no APM-style program does: it published the month its next window opens. The official RPM program page says applications are expected to open in September 2026 for the summer 2027 internship and the fall 2027 full-time cohort. Google never announces its window. Salesforce posts and pulls roles within hours. Intuit put a month in writing, which makes this one of the few programs you can actually plan around.

The planning matters because of the question that probably brought you here: does this program still exist? Ask around and you will hear that Intuit paused it at some point, and plenty of APM-style programs did go quiet after the 2022 downturn. Intuit has not published anything about a pause either way. So instead of repeating rumors, here is what is verifiable, from Intuit's own page and from our posting tracker at APMList.

The short version: the program page is current, it describes a live application cycle, and our tracker watched Intuit product internship postings close as recently as February 2026. Everything below assumes you treat September 2026 as a real date and prepare for it, while confirming against live postings rather than trusting any page, including this one.

What the RPM program is

RPM stands for Rotational Product Manager. It is Intuit's two-year, entry-level product program, and its rotation structure is unusual: one year-long rotation followed by two six-month rotations, three in total, which Intuit says are personalized to your interests and strengths. Most rotational programs (Meta's RPM, Salesforce's APM) split time evenly; Intuit front-loads a full year so you go deep once before you go broad.

The program runs from Mountain View, California, on a hybrid model with a co-location requirement, meaning you need to live within commuting distance of your assigned office. Plan on relocating to the Bay Area. Training and mentorship are built in, starting with an in-depth onboarding and continuing through the cohort community.

The products you would work on are the ones Intuit owns: TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp. That is consumer and small-business fintech, which shapes the interview too. If your product stories are all social apps, build a point of view on money software: where tax filing or invoicing actually hurts, and what you would fix first.

The two tracks and who is eligible

  • RPM intern. A 12-week summer internship in Mountain View, with a relocation stipend for eligible interns. You need at least one semester of university remaining at the time of the internship. The most recent Mountain View product management internship posting we tracked listed $45.67 to $70.37 per hour.
  • Full-time RPM. The two-year rotational program. Intuit asks that you have graduated from a bachelor's or non-MBA master's program before the start date, and it recruits from US universities. No prior work experience is required, which puts it in the same new-grad-friendly bucket as Google's APM and Meta's RPM.

Intuit also posts product manager co-ops in Toronto, which our tracker saw close in October and November 2025. Those are not the RPM program, but they are a real door into Intuit product work for Canadian students.

What our tracking data shows

APMList tracks postings hourly, and here is Intuit's recent product-internship trail:

Posting Location Closed Posted pay
Product Manager Intern Mountain View, CA Feb 25, 2026 $45.67 to 70.37/hr
Intern Product Management Mountain View, CA Dec 18, 2025 not listed
Product Manager Co-op Toronto, ON Nov 4, 2025 not listed
Product Manager Intern/Co-op Toronto, ON Oct 3, 2025 not listed

Read that alongside the official page, which says applications for summer 2026 internships and the fall 2026 RPM cohort have closed. The two sources agree: Intuit ran a 2026 recruiting cycle. Whatever happened in earlier years, the program is taking applications in the current era, and the next window has an announced month.

Key takeaway: Intuit says September 2026 for the summer 2027 internship and fall 2027 RPM cohort. Announced months slip, and pages can go stale, so verify against a live tracker in early September rather than assuming either way.

That is also our honest caveat. We could not capture opening dates for the postings above, only closings, so we cannot tell you how long Intuit windows stay open the way we can for Atlassian or Salesforce. Assume short and apply early.

How Intuit's RPM compares to the other rotational programs

If you are choosing where to spend your September energy, here is Intuit next to the two programs candidates most often weigh it against, using what each company publishes and what our tracker has recorded:

Program Rotations Location policy Window predictability Posted intern pay
Intuit RPM One 12-month, then two 6-month Mountain View, hybrid, co-location required Month announced (September) $45.67 to 70.37/hr
Meta RPM Three, roughly equal Hub office Summer waves, unannounced full-time only
Salesforce APM Rotations across teams San Francisco Unannounced, hours-to-days windows $55 to 59/hr

Two things stand out. Intuit's long first rotation means you ship something substantial before you switch teams, where an even split can leave every rotation feeling like onboarding. And the announced window is worth more than it looks: you can prepare on a schedule instead of standing watch all fall.

The eligibility fine print deserves a careful read too. The full-time track wants a bachelor's or a non-MBA master's, so if you are in an MBA program you are pointed at Intuit's separate MBA internships instead, not RPM. The intern track requires at least one semester left after the summer, which rules out final-semester seniors; for them the full-time RPM application is the right door. And Intuit says it recruits RPM from US universities, so international students at US schools are in the pool, while students at universities abroad are not, a narrower rule than Google's, which hires APMs into international hubs.

How to play September

Six weeks out is exactly the right amount of lead time, and the preparation is the same boring list that works for every program in our APM programs overview:

  1. Materials first. One resume checked against a real product posting with Simplify's resume builder, a transcript PDF, and two or three stories about things you built or led, with numbers.
  2. Set the watch. The APM internships list and APM new-grad roles list here refresh hourly, and Simplify's APM tracker covers the same ground. Start checking daily on September 1.
  3. Build the fintech story. File your own taxes and write down every step that confused you, or run a mock month of invoices through QuickBooks. One concrete opinion about money software beats a rehearsed framework in an Intuit interview.
  4. Apply the day it opens, and apply broadly. Simplify Copilot autofills the forms, so hitting Intuit plus the rest of the September wave costs an afternoon, not a week.

One more Intuit-specific note: the co-location requirement is firm in the posting language. If the Bay Area is a dealbreaker, redirect that energy to Atlassian, the one major program that hires remotely.

Do this next: put September 1, 2026 in your calendar now. If the posting appears, you are ready a month before most applicants have opened a document. If it does not, you have lost nothing, and the same materials work for every other fall window.
